This is our gorgeous girl, Monique! She's so breathtaking, she really ought to be in movies...her rich red coloring, her deep brown eyes, her natural eyeliner and her striking white markings...what a beautiful girl she is...did I forget to mention her adorable floppy ears? And it's not only her exterior that's perfect, but her disposition is as well. Monique is a calm, easy going gal who loves the affections of her people...composed, devoted and smart is this beauty. When she gets around her canine companions, she's playful and sweet and submissive when corrected. She's a well-mannered and totally appropriate with all...and she plays with dogs from 7 lbs to 60 lbs consistently. Even when Elfie, a little 7 lb terrier, tries to give Monique a hard time (which is always!), she is cool as a cucumber and just ignores her & goes about her business. Monique is looking for a family or single person who would like a canine sidekick to join them in their adventures. Instinctively, Monique is a mellow girl, so she'll be fine hanging out alone (if she must) while you're at work, but then would be ready to hit the trails or the town with her adoring person! And if her people would rather settle in for the night, Monique would be just as content snuggling in for a belly rub! She's great with other dogs and has spent much time at doggie daycare romping with others daily. I realize that she has the "deer in the headlights" look going-on, but trust me, Marigold is as sweet as them come! What she lacks in photogenic department, she makes up for in easy-going, cuddler department. This little lady is unobtrusive, good-natured, calm and refined. She isn't yappy, snappy, yippy or nippy as so many chihuahuas are, she's just a true gem looking for a lap to snuggle into. We haven't observed a territorial or possessive bone in her body. She's great with other dogs and avoids any sort of conflict and she's good with cats too. It would only be a heartless being that doesn't fall in love with our appreciative and loving Marigold. It is said that dogs can help make their owners healthier by helping them relax and exercise. Abigail does just that. She brings love and laughter to her foster home, and there is nothing she likes better than a walk. She is easy to have at home, as she keeps herself entertained by playing with her toys, and when she needs love she comes to you. She is a character, and is endlessly entertaining as she rolls on her back and wiggles around, or does her signature hop in the air when she knows it is time for a walk.
