Peaches is a sweet 2-3 yr, 17 lb cocker spaniel - parti-coat. We rescued from extreme risk at a local shelter and are so glad we did. She is friendly with everyone and will sure make someone a terrific family companion. Don't delay coming to visit this dear little one..... Note: She looks older than the age we were told - she's beginning to get cataracts - has dry eye and we'll give you the drops for that. Sweet, easy disposition. All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a new leash, collar, ID tag and all medical records. We can microchip and always love to board our graduates. Check out the "Boarding" section of our web. You can learn more about the adoption process from our website under "adopt a dog" and "contact and hours." Please bring the family and other dogs to visit any open house day/time. Thanx! Chows aren't necessarily for everyone. Read up on the breed before deciding to adopt. They often bond very tightly to a few people and have no need for anyone else. Cmon - admit it - you've thought about how cool it would be to have a basset living in your home... Buddy Basset Hound Large Adult Male Dog Pet ID: 44197 I'm available at the Gaines Campus. Why I'd make a great companion:SOCIAL. I love to play and hang out with my human companions, in addition to socializing with other canines. Entertaining and fun-loving, my playful antics can brighten even the gloomiest of days. I am a sweet boy looking for a family to love! While I'm always thrilled to take walks and get my exercise, I'm also happy to snuggle by the side of a companion after a long day. Type of home I'm looking for: I will do well in a variety of homes, including a home with children! Whether we snuggle on the couch or enjoy a day at the park, I'm at home as long as I'm with you. I get lonely sometimes, so a home with another canine pal would be great! Other things you should know about me: My adoption fee is $105 and includes my neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, and more! During the adoption process a Humane Society Veterinarian will be present to explain my medical history, answer any questions, and share how to best care for me in the future. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 59.2 Age: 6yrs 2mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered

*Attix*

If you look in a dictionary for the definition of rescue, you will read that it means to set free from confinement or danger. How appropriate that our Rescue came to the rescue of Attix because he was confined and he definitely was in danger. No doubt he is house and crate trained because he never once dirtied his crate. Attix loves the ball, will happily bring it back to you, and will let you take the ball out of his mouth. Of course, with all the well deserved love and attention he was getting, he really liked to be glued to our volunteer. As you'll see from his photos, one of his ears is bent. Looking into the ear, our volunteer found lots of scarring due to hemotoma. The other ear has a terrible infection. In spite of not feeling well (he was running a fever), nothing stopped Attix from dishing out a TON of love or from smiling a big doggie smile. On a dog to dog meeting with a girl dog, all Attix did was give kisses across the fence. And read on because now he is in a foster home with two other dogs! After just a short time in his foster home, here's a report. Attix gets along with the other dogs after a proper introduction. In fact, his favorite place to nap is next to Mr. Biggs, the resident pug. As we expected, he is housebroken and crate trained. He is a good eater, loves dog toys and play time, and knows some basic commands. Attix no longer needs to be rescued but he does want and need and deserve a new home. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact us via email at sddogs@coastalgsr.org.

cat
BeBe

BeBe is a very special little girl, who has gone through a whole lot in her little life. BeBe came to us from Animal Services, as she was going to be euthanized. She was brought into Animal Services as a stray cat with a serious bite wound at the base of her tail. They tried, unsuccessfully, to tack her tail back on, and when she wasn't showing improvements, they gave up on her. But not us.

BeBe was taken to our vet, and her tail removed. As a result of the damage, BeBe was left incontinent, meaning she has little control over her bowels and bladder. Our vet believes she has suffered spinal cord damage and her ends just aren't able to communicate properly with each other. This has not slowed BeBe down one bit. She's the most loving, most adoring cat I've ever come across. She loves playing fetch and giving headbutts !

You have to look past her gorgeous, big blue eyes, and be certain you are able to care for such a special needs kitty. She frequently needs her bladder expressed, and will need regular vet visits to monitor her progress. Please, if you have any questions about BeBe, contact Kyla via email or phone. kylasfosters@gmail.com 619.254.9951
